The first thing many of us may do as soon as we wake up is take mobiles in hand, check for the new messages be it personal or professional, respond back; have the TV or a music player on and then start the day.

We should accept the fact that we are living in the world of technology and getting addicted to this Digital life.

Our professional life may demand 11/12 hours of work daily and sometimes may eat off our weekends also. Our lifestyle for many can be full of screens from the time we get up, till we go to bed. Yes, for sure we have to accept that technology is useful by keeping us connected to the world, It may be necessary to lead our day to day life connecting to the world with our finger tips.

People these days are getting into a lifestyle where being Digitally Connected is a day to day essential. The serious question is to what extent can we take this forward. 

Remember anything extreme will carry a bad impact and sometimes can be irreversible. Too much of digital addiction definitely carries a bad impact both on mental and physical health and may even have a negative impact on our day to day relationships. For many it may be time to take up this Digital Detox Challenge for a better lifestyle. 

First, Digital Detox is a process where we refrain over selves from using our electronic gadgets starting from our mobiles, smart phones, computers etc. It’s a proven way to reduce our day to day stress, tensions and if possible a best means to connect to Nature.

Here are a few smart ways to take up A Digital Detox Challenge – 

Take Small Steps:

This challenge need not be a tremendous and a big change all of a sudden. We need to be comfortable with the choices we make and the steps we take should be achievable. Do not set any sort of unrealistic targets that may become unachievable and make us more stressful. Choose one Tech Habit that you may want to reduce on, plan and set a milestone that needs to be achieved. Plan a time to start Detoxification, be it family’s dinner time, study time of our children and do not compromise. Once we start disconnecting it will become easier detoxifying self.

Eliminate Unwanted Distractions:

Prioritize the Tech Needs. Our first priority can be our Family and Work where we need to connected. Our Health & Fitness ,Relatives & Friends can be the next. Prioritizing this way can help us to sort out which are essential and are our distractions. Uninstall if there are Apps that are distracting us, unsubscribe for a notification that can be useless etc. This can save us good time and we can use this time to be Productive or practice a Greener Lifestyle.

My new way of life. I personally have started practicing. Simple but effective. Here I share the secrete : 8 hours of Work, 8 hours of sleep and 8 hours to family and self. This I feel is one of the best ways for a perfect lifestyle. I am sure if we start following this It can create wonders.

We can be more productive, creative and smart and this rule can take us a long way.

Have A Shift – From Feasting To Fasting: 

All these days we may be feasting with our gadgets making our self tech freak. Take out a day once in 3 months or 6 months where we fast – absolutely no gadgets and devices. Stand in front of a mirror feeling like taking a selfie. If possible just spend this fantastic time with Mother Nature and start realizing the benefits which can be wonderful.

Don’t be surprised as I am suggesting a shift. This is because it’s just a day we need to take this tech fast once in 3 or six months based on our possibility.

Hope these few simple and smart ways can help us to take up a Digital Detox Challenge.
